Set up in 2006 between Societe Generale and Rhodia, orbeo is the first equal joint venture between a bank and an industrial group on the CER (Certified Emission Reduction) market. The company is a major player on the global carbon markets.

orbeo manages a 2007-2012 portfolio of around 100 million CERs (carbon credits) originating from CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) projects and has developed an extensive portfolio of high quality greenhouse gas emission reduction projects in order to diversify its offer.
