ALD Automotive : Promoting the "responsible" use of vehicles amongst staff and customers

In 2008, ALD Automotive launched its new environmental offer, ALD bluefleet.
ALD bluefleet is an "umbrella" brand that regroups all of the "green" products marketed by ALD Automotive subsidiaries to help customers identify the different environmental products and services on offer in each country. ALD bluefleet also provides ALD Automotive customers with a means of completely or partially offsetting the CO2 emissions of their fleets which are calculated according to their actual or estimated mileage.

Continued enhancement of Societe Generale's ALD bluefleet offer
  • Launch of iPhone application, ALD ecodrive
    ALD ecodrive is a user-friendly, free and fun application for all drivers, whether or not they are ALD Automotive customers. Designed to assess the direct impact of a user’s style of driving on the environment, ALD ecodrive uses sensors and an iPhone’s GPS. It records various parameters which are then used to establish the driver’s score in “eco-points” (estimation of the vehicle’s CO2 emissions) and offer advice and recommendations that are best suited to their driving habits.
    Personalised weekly tips are also provided to help each user improve the way they drive and reduce their fuel consumption.
    Users can also post and compare their scores with other drivers online and take part in the Challenge ALD ecodrive to win different prizes.
    In France, close to 5,000 drivers have already downloaded the application which will be available throughout Europe in 2011.
  • Roll-out of the ALD care offer alongside ALD sharing
    ALD care is an eco-friendly cleaning service for vehicles that uses fully biodegradable products and only needs 5 litres of water per car. Its social commitment is just as strong in that it also offers positions to disadvantaged groups looking to reintegrate the job market.
    ALD Care is available in France and Belgium and is now systematically included in the ALD sharing offer.
  • Lower paper consumption thanks to ALD e-facture
    ALD e-facture is a free service that allows customers to access the invoices for their vehicle fleet at any time in pdf and csv formats.
    Thanks to ALD e-facture, customers no longer need to keep paper copies of their invoices which makes archiving much simpler. Launched in France in March 2010, the new service has already saved 3.64 tons of paper in just 9 months.
