HUMAN RESSOURCES POLICY

Société Générale’s Human Ressources policy aims to foster teamwork, new synergies and shared practices and expertise between the different Group divisions.

Core priorities of the Group's HR policy

Societe Generale employed 155,617 employees in 85 countries at the end of 2010.
In a highly unstable and ever-changing economic climate, the Group launched its transformation programme, Ambition SG 2015, which was rolled out globally under the supervision of the Group's Management and Executive Committees.
The purpose of this programme is to make Societe Generale the reference relationship bank on its markets, chosen for the quality and commitment of its teams. For the Human Resources Department, the Group's ambition to become an industry leader within the banking sector means committing to 3 key pillars:
  • a management culture which rewards sustainable value-creating behaviour, promotes dialogue between managers and employees, and places great importance on the duty of its managers to lead by example in their day-to-day activities,
  • a reinforced employer promise which promotes diversity, mobility and the development of our employees' skills-sets,
  • talent management, by constantly strengthening our ability to detect and develop talent throughout the Group.
Just as important for the Human Resources Department is to increase cross-business collaboration and to pool the HR practises and expertise of the Group's different divisions.
