Responsible sourcing
Societe Generale Group places a great deal of importance on the corporate and social responsibility of companies, and is deeply committed to protecting social and human rights, the environment and sustainable development - a commitment to which its Purchasing Department fully subscribes when it comes to managing its supplier relations. Its socially responsible purchasing policy is implemented through a series of multi-annual actions plans that seek the proactive involvement of all stakeholders in the value chain (prescribers, purchasers and suppliers). These actions plans, known as the Ethical Sourcing Program (ESP) and then the Sustainable Sourcing Program (SSP), are clear proof of the Purchasing Department's desire to make CSR a fundamental part of its mandate and processes. Through the constant and proactive management of all of the stakeholders in its value chain, the objective of the Purchasing Department is to contribute, with them and thanks to them, to reducing the Group's operating risk by making CSR a day-to-day priority.
