Use of protected sector companies

Objective

To work alongside Mission Handicap in promoting the use of subcontractors within the protected and adapted enterprise sectors (EA/ESAT).

Measures

Purchasers are required to include the adapted enterprise sector wherever possible in the selection of suppliers during invitations-to-tender, either in specific domains or by reserving a proportion of the market in question so that they can submit a competitive offer.
To ensure this, the Group works in close collaboration with Mission Handicap and purchasers have access to dedicated resources including:
  • an internal guide to protected sector companies,
  • direct access to the GESAT platform which lists all protected and adapted sector companies in France according to product and service.

Highlights in 2010

  • Management of the internal post of 50 Group sites awarded to a protected sector company,
  • Referencing of several EA/ESAT suppliers for the video encoding of cheques and digitisation of wage slips,
  • Allocation of part of the processing of electrical and electronic waste to 8 UNEA network companies,
  • Publication of a benchmark study on responsible purchasing policies in collaboration with ORSE (Center for Corporate Social Responsibility) for members of the "Finance & Assurance" Club.
